pfp is a fictional social media app loosely based on raya and focused on creating localized connections (within a 50 mile radius). we are a post-covid gpsl set in los angeles, california.

applying
the application process is simple:
ooc usernames - with no extra letters, numbers, or characters
backdate - friends only and contact post
100 words - about your character - this can be in the form of facts or a bio
telegram - not mandatory, but is encouraged. please let us know if you need help setting up

introductions
any interactive post - on the fp will count as your intro. whether it be a social media post, lyrics, ama, ffa, etc -- a majority of the comments must be replied to or it will not count. please go to diy or templates for help with codes.
intros are to be done within 3 days (72 hours) of being added.

after adds & activity
we're hoping this will be the place to cultivate creativity with our members. so get as big and as loud as you'd like. we're all here for the juicy headlines and drama. if you have not completed any of the below at least once a month your character will be up for removal.
no minumum word count - updates in any form are accepted
interaction - posting 5 comments on people's f/o or updates on the fp
group activities - all group events will be announced ahead of time, so please let us know if an event is taking place during an inconvenient time. if you're unable to get around to a post when it rolls around, please don't be afraid to drop a comment! communication is key
friends list - keep it up to date! if you're behind by two weeks you will be at the risk of removal

only activity on the fp will be considered.

the members area - all pb changes, hiatuses, extensions, and any other concerns should be dropped off here
moots - all mod hosted activities and group events will be posted here. if you would like to have the mods "host" an event for you, please comment the moots suggestions post
hiatuses - maximum of four weeks and extensions will be granted for up to an additional week. no explanations are needed, but please don't abuse the system! the update requirements will be pretty lax and the life of the group relies on the activity of the members.
as a gpsl, our main goal is to provide a fun community for all your characters to be creative and interact. there's no such thing as too much in the city of angels.

keep ic and ooc separate - you will be removed as soon as we're notified of any form of harrassment - no ifs, ands, or buts. we're all adults trying to escape the stress of the real world, so please don't ruin it for anyone else. drama is encouraged, but it is to remain ic. if you're unable to handle that, this group might not be for you

trigger warnings - as a courtesty, please put anything that might be triggering to another member under a cut and place a warning in the subject line

faux - celeb credits are allowed and will be pretty relaxed. we will be keeping a directory to keep everything organized, just in case! if we see something that should be discussed we will let you know

supernatural, magic, and au - while not our main focus, we won't stop our members from exploring these realms. this means your character could be of another world, participate in practices, etc. please do not force these scenarios on other writers. notify the writers you would like to involve and the mods in advance

group activities
as mods, we will be holding at least one event a month (ffas, member highlights, plot posts, trivia, etc) - participation in at least one of the events will be mandatory. this will be one form of activity for the month.

please comment this post if you have any event suggestions. members are encouraged to come forward with their own events in the form of parties, random occurences (au or not), premeires and events, ffas, proposed movie or game nights, etc.

note: we do ask that movie or game nights be brought up with the mods and put to a vote - we don't want anyone to feel left out for not wanting to participate in these kind of events.
